Top WWE star's busy schedule post SummerSlam revealed

WWE SummerSlam is an important premium live event for the biggest promotion in the business. Despite the whopping numbers WWE shows did after WrestleMania in April, nothing truly retained the hype that surrounded the Show of Shows. Come August 3, WWE's creative team led by Triple H has an opportunity to rectify this.

It is an important night for Gunther, who will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

Many believe on account of The Game's trust in Gunther and how the latter has been booked thus far, there is just no way the 2024 King of the Ring will walk out of Cleveland Browns Stadium empty-handed.

Moreover, the month of August will end with WWE's first premium live event in Germany—Bash in Berlin. Taking to Instagram ahead of his title opportunity, The Ring General has disclosed his schedule on the road to Bash in Berlin:

"August!" Gunther's caption read.

The Austrian wrestler has always been comfortable in his skin as a dastardly heel. He took it up a notch in the last few weeks when he called Damian Priest and his clan "street trash," which helped turn Priest into a babyface.

The crowd's sympathy was pulled when the World Heavyweight Champion, 41, cut a promo about the number of years it took him to get to the position he is in.

Gunther has yet to tick off something from his bucket list in WWE

Ahead of SummerSlam, Gunther opened up about his potential run in the near future with the World Heavyweight Championship.

Already holding the record for being the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE, one would assume The Ring General becoming the top champion would also be an achievable target. He considers it a big challenge, albeit obviously, not one that he is going to shy away from.

But perhaps for two years now, the Austrian has reiterated his desire to step into the ring with Brock Lesnar, a man he has cited as his "Final Boss." There was talk ahead of the grand stage in April 2024 that Lesnar would be back to face Gunther in Philadelphia:

"Of course, I heard something about it. I always saw Brock as my final boss. I always get portrayed as that, as the NXT UK Champion, the Intercontinental Champion, I was like the final boss of that division. And Brock, for a long time, was the final boss of the whole company. So I always saw myself in my future to be in a similar position to him, and to be that you've got to get in the ring with that guy," he said.

Interestingly, during a recent interview, Gunther spoke about considering retirement from wrestling.
