Top WWE star singles out Zoey Stark for unique praise
The WWE women's division is packed with bona fide talents, but Zoey Stark is regarded by many as the best all-around wrestler of the current era, even as a rising star. Stark is also certified, with known supporters in Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Brian James. Now, one of the biggest names on the roster has become the latest to publicly praise the fan-favorite heel.
The Iron Woman of WWE is now a dominant member of The Pure Fusion Collective, with Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville. WWE called as Stark approached her eighth year as a wrestler, and just 140 days after debuting, she and IYO SKY became NXT Women's Tag Team Champions. Stark was called to RAW in the 2023 Draft, then aligned with Trish Stratus against Becky Lynch.
Lynch won eighteen of their 19 singles matches as Stark secured one of her biggest wins on July 10, 2023, when she defeated Lynch on RAW. The storyline ended with Stark turning on Stratus, and many, including her husband, Seth Rollins, would consider siding with The Man an intelligent decision.
The Visionary recently appeared on SI's Fantasy Dirt podcast and was asked who has the best finishing move other than him. Rollins pointed to Stark as having one of the best finishers in all of WWE.
"Who has the best one? Oh, man, gosh... there are some good ones out there. I’m trying to think of anyone that does a really, really cool finish. Oh, you know who has a really good one? This one’s kind of off the — a little wacky is Zoey Stark. Zoey Stark is one of our female talents, and she’s got this crazy finishing move where she flips the girl upside down and crushes her with her knee as she’s landing on her feet. That’s a pretty sick one. I don’t even know what it’s called — Z60 or something like that? That’s a cool one," Seth Rollins said. [H/T to Cagesideseats]
Stark's finisher, a modified GTS, is called Z360. The 30-year-old has declared it the best finishing move ever, and fans have praised her version since she debuted it in NXT a few years back.
WWE announces Women's WarGames match
WWE has officially announced the second WarGames match for the 38th annual Survivor Series, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, in Vancouver, BC. The match will feature RAW and SmackDown Superstars from the women's division.
The third main roster Women's WarGames bout will feature IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, and Candice LeRae. The match was announced after a big ten-woman brawl on RAW.
Tonight's show saw Ripley return with a face protector on. She then faced off with Morgan and declared WarGames. The WarGames advantage will be determined on next week's go-home RAW when Jax takes on Belair in singles action.
