Top WWE star wants to "put an end" to Rhea Ripley, teases feud-ending match at Bad Blood
Rhea Ripley's rise to WWE's elite category of superstars came at the expense of her friendship with her colleague. This intricate aspect of her rivalry with Women's World Champion Liv Morgan is what made the latter's issues seem genuine. However, the WWE Universe grew fond of Mami, who reacted favorably to them instead of Morgan.
Upon the former Women's Champion's return in July 2024, she became a massively over babyface. Ripley then unsuccessfully challenged for the title at SummerSlam. At Bash in Berlin on August 31, though, she got her win back when she pinned Liv Morgan in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
Speaking on The Big Show with Rusic and Rose, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan brushed off her loss against Mami in Germany. She pointed to how nothing has changed despite the minor setback, as she still has the title, Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. Morgan concluded by teasing a match at Bad Blood on October 5, where she hopes to "put an end" to Rhea Ripley once and for all.
"I want for her to be gone right now. I want Daddy Dom and I to go and live our best lives and not be annoyed with the Terror Twins [Ripley and Damian Priest] anymore. I've already beaten her. I have my man, my family, my title. I'm kind of done with it at this point. She's feeling like she needs to start her Brutality Tour, whatever that means, to get back at me. Hopefully, at Bad Blood, I finally put an end to Rhea Ripley," she said. [H/T: Fightful.com]
Although WWE has not made a match official for Bad Blood, considering Ripley's pinfall win over Morgan at Bash in Berlin, suffice it to say this might be the direction the company is heading towards.
Eric Bischoff hails Mixed Tag Team Match at WWE Bash in Berlin, credits Liv Morgan
On his 83 Weeks podcast recently, former RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff reviewed all the contests on the match card of Bash in Berlin. He appreciated the efforts of Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan in the Mixed Tag Team Match.
As for Liv Morgan, Bischoff articulated why he feels she has proved why she belongs on top of the card as the Women's World Champion.
"Liv was way better than I thought she was. Again, haven’t been watching a ton of her so perhaps my perception of her is not my fault but mine for not paying close enough attention. She did a lot of stuff in that ring that made me go, okay, now I understand why she’s in that spot. [...] I enjoyed the hell out of that match." [H/T: Fightful.com]
Ahead of SummerSlam, Ripley expressed an interest in facing Morgan inside Hell in a Cell. Whether WWE ends their rivalry under this legendary stipulation bears watching.
