Top WWE Superstar claims he has "nothing good" to say about Damian Priest; takes a shot at him
Damian Priest is set to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Ahead of his match against Gunther, the reigning champion took a dig at the former.
After Finn Balor's betrayal, Priest lost the World Heavyweight Championship at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event. He had previously won the title at WrestleMania XL by cashing in the Money in the Bank on Drew McIntyre.
On Twitter/X, Gunther took a shot at Priest ahead of their segment on this week's RAW. The Ring General claimed he had "nothing good" to say about his next challenger.
"Nothing good," wrote Gunther.
Check out Gunther's tweet:
Priest won a Fatal Four Way Match against Dominik Mysterio, Sheamus, and Seth Rollins to become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE is yet to announce the date for the Gunther-Priest rematch.
The former Judgment Day member quite recently suffered a shocking loss to Mysterio on Monday Night RAW. However, he bounced back by winning the four-way match and becoming the new number-one contender for the title.
Vince Russo claimed that Gunther's feud with Damian Priest is "just filler"
Vince Russo provided his honest take on Gunther and Damian Priest's feud, claiming it's a "filler" feud.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing With Russo, Russo predicted Gunther would walk out victorious against Priest, especially after his loss to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. He said:
"I think it's just filler. I think they are gonna keep it. Especially, especially with Cody just beating Gunther at Crown Jewel, I don't see them beating Gunther again."
Since winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL, Gunther has successfully defended the title against Randy Orton at Bash In Berlin. This was his only title defense at a Premium Live Event. He also defeated Sami Zayn on Monday Night RAW in his latest televised title defense.
