Top WWE Superstar sends a three-word message to Mercedes Moné amid her scary injury
At the recent NJPW Resurgence pay-per-view, Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) reportedly suffered an ankle injury during her match against AEW star Willow Nightingale.
A four-woman single-elimination tournament was held to crown the inaugural NJPW Strong Women's Champion. The four participants were Mercedes Moné, Momo Kohgo, Stephanie Vaquer, and Willow Nightingale.
The CEO and the AEW star faced each other in the tournament finals. Despite all her efforts, Moné failed to capture the NJPW Strong Women's Championship.
Taking to social media, Moné's former tag team partner and current WWE star, Bayley, sent a three-word message.
"Just the best," wrote Bayley.
Check out a screengrab of Bayley's Instagram story below:
Bayley is the leader of the Damage CTRL faction in WWE. Unfortunately, her stablemate Dakota Kai is also on the injured list.
With Kai on the sidelines, The Role Model will team up with Iyo Sky to challenge for the vacant WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Coincidentally, the Women's Tag Team Titles were vacated due to an injury to now-former champion Liv Morgan.
AEW star Cash Wheeler recently praised both Bayley and Mercedes Moné
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood are good friends with both Bayley and Mercedes Moné in real life.
Wheeler recently went on record to make a bold statement regarding the two women, stating that The Role Model and Moné are among the best wrestlers in the world.
Speaking at the recent For the Love of Wrestling convention, the reigning AEW World Tag Team Champion said:
“I think that Bayley and Mercedes both have been some of the best wrestlers — not just women wrestlers — some of the best wrestlers on the planet over the past five, six, seven, eight years, whatever."
A timeline for Moné's return from injury is yet to be revealed. As of right now, we wish her a speedy recovery, especially ahead of the Forbidden Door 2 pay-per-view.
