Top WWE Superstar teases a return to the company after WWE RAW; has been absent for 6 months
Following this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, former WWE Women's Champion Asuka teased her return to television. She has been absent since May 4, 2024.
At the Backlash France Premium Live Event, Asuka and Kairi Sane lost the Women's Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Two days later, it was revealed that The Empress of Tomorrow was suffering from a knee injury and would undergo surgery.
On X/Twitter, the 43-year-old hinted at her return to WWE TV and a reunion with her Damage CTRL stablemates.
"Give me a sec, full throttle when merging," Asuka wrote.

Sonya Deville expressed her interest in a match against fellow WWE star Asuka
Sonya Deville and her stable, Pure Fusion Collective, are currently feuding with Damage CTRL on Monday Night RAW. Interestingly, Deville opened up about her dream singles match against Asuka on television earlier this year.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the RAW Superstar recalled sharing the stage with The Empress of Tomorrow during their days in NXT. She said:
"And then it would be like, I go to RAW, and she goes to SmackDown; she goes to SmackDown, and I go to RAW, and we just keep playing tag and not catching each other. So I was like, if I could paint the perfect picture, I would love to have like a two-to-three segment match with Asuka and just mess each other up!"
In November 2023, Asuka joined Damage CTRL on SmackDown. During a tag team match, she turned heel and betrayed Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair. Since joining the faction, she has mostly teamed up with Kairi Sane.
On the January 26, 2024, edition of SmackDown, the duo defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. It remains to be seen when Asuka will reunite with Damage CTRL on television.
