"Triple H dialled me back" - Drew McIntyre makes major revelation amidst rivalry with CM Punk on WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have left no stone unturned in their rivalry on WWE RAW. However, Triple H had to step in to make some changes, according to The Scottish Warrior.

The seeds of the rivalry between the two top RAW stars were sown at the 2024 Royal Rumble where a Future Shock DDT from McIntyre injured Punk. The Best in the World was shelved for several months due to the tricep injury, but WWE did well to continue their rivalry.

The first match between them took place at SummerSlam, where Seth Rollins played the role of a guest referee. In the end, Drew McIntyre won the contest and took back his opponent's bracelet.

The latest edition of RAW saw Rollins confront Punk before McIntyre showed up in the crowd. The Scottish Warrior had a few darts to shoot at his rival, following which he revealed that Triple H had to work on his promo and dial it back a bit to ensure he doesn’t offend too many people.

"I actually went a step further, and between Triple H and I, we got it where we felt like we wouldn’t offend a lot of people," Drew McIntyre said on the Not Sam Wrestling Podcast. "I had it a little further than that, and Triple H dialled me back slightly, and we landed there."

The promo ensured CM Punk stayed focused on McIntyre despite his loss. Surprisingly, The Best in the World hasn’t won a single match since his return to WWE. However, that could change sooner rather than later.

Drew McIntyre praised Triple H's leadership amidst his rivalry with CM Punk on WWE RAW

Triple H has been doing a great job at the top of the WWE creative team since Vince McMahon’s departure. It looks like he has a lot of freedom backstage, and he has done well alongside Nick Khan to deliver some top entertainment to fans.

During his chat on the Not Sam Wrestling Podcast, Drew McIntyre noted that he was happy with the way HHH dealt with matters.

"When Hunter took charge, I started feeling like: ‘we’re going to stick to what we talk about,’ and ‘if you’re trusted we’ll give you a little bit and if you do well you can get a little more," Drew McIntyre added. "That’s how you should be, earning that trust."
