Triple H makes surprising claim following WWE Clash at the Castle

Triple H has made a surprising claim following last night's WWE Clash at the Castle event in Scotland. The show featured five title matches, but only the Women's Tag Team Championship changed hands.

The King of Kings spoke at the press conference following WWE Clash at the Castle last night and claimed that some of the best wrestlers come from an interesting profession. He noted that Sheamus and others have been seen "working" security on RAW, SmackDown, and other wrestling shows in the past and have wound up becoming some of the brightest stars in the industry.

"I don't know if you have noticed it, but security teams at RAW, SmackDown, and other shows tend to make the best wrestlers of the future. Sheamus, a lot of these guys were all security people and then it blew up for them and they became huge successes. I don't know what that is, but it works out wonderfully," said Triple H.

Triple H comments on CM Punk's return to WWE

CM Punk got involved in the main event of WWE Clash at the Castle and cost Drew McIntyre his chance to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Referee Eddie Orengo was taken out during the match and Punk came to the ring in a striped shirt. McIntyre connected with the Claymore but the former AEW star refused to count to three. The former WWE Champion also appeared at the press conference following the premium live event and praised how the company has changed for the better over the years.

Triple H responded to Punk's comments during the press conference and noted that the two stars didn't always see things the same way.

"He [CM Punk] mentioned some things up here and yeah, there is a change and there is a new era, new atmosphere and new all those things. And yes, absolutely, in some ways, they are things that he was asking for and started a long time ago. At a time that he and I, for a lot of reasons, just saw things differently from each other. We saw eye-to-eye but it was angry eye-to-eye, it was opposition eye-to-eye," he said.

The rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk has been going on for months as the former AEW World Champion recovers from a torn triceps. It will be fascinating to see what Triple H and WWE's creative team have planned for McIntyre and Punk in the months ahead.
