Triple H met a wrestling veteran when trying to sign a top talent; reveals what condition The Game and WWE had to meet
Professional wrestling promoter Rossy Ogawa has commented on his discussions with Triple H and partnership with WWE. They met back in April during WrestleMania XL weekend, as the Stamford-based company was interested in signing Giulia.
Ogawa is the founder of Dream Star Fighting Marigold, which is an all-women wrestling promotion based in Japan. He also founded World Wonder Ring STARDOM, which he left this year after being fired. One of the talents he signed to Marigold is Giulia, who also has some interest from WWE. They were both in attendance for NXT Stand & Deliver last April.
During a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, Rossy Ogawa stated that he started having negotiations with WWE back in March and that he met Triple H after he was invited to the United States.
It was recently announced that RAW star IYO SKY will wrestle Marigold wrestler Utami Hayashishita at an upcoming event in Japan. Ogawa believes that WWE allowed IYO to do the match because of the company's interest in Giulia.
"I think it's because of their relationship with Giulia. I was told that all I had to do was adjust my schedule, and that has only recently cleared up. It's no secret that WWE is aiming to acquire Giulia in the near future, and it seems that they have given the green light to send Iyo as a 'trade,'" he said. [H/T: Tokyo Sports]
Rossy Ogawa says Triple H pushed him to leave STARDOM
WWE is currently working with several wrestling promotions, including TNA, Marigold, and Pro Wrestling NOAH. When Rossy Ogawa was still in STARDOM, he had an important discussion with Triple H.
Ogawa revealed in an interview that The Game pushed him to leave STARDOM.
“Triple H told me, ‘I want to help you with whatever you want to do, whether it’s with Stardom or as a solo artist.’ He gave me the push I needed. I was starting to feel uncomfortable at Stardom… I couldn’t show my true potential. I was like a decoration, told to just sit here.” [H/T: TJR Wrestling]
Many fans regard Giulia as one of the best female wrestlers in the world. It'll be interesting to see what she does when she ends up in WWE.
