Triple H reveals WWE Bash in Berlin poster; applauds star featured
WWE is set to make history once again this month when the inaugural Bash in Berlin PLE airs live from Germany. The special is set to take place on Saturday, August 31 at Uber Arena in the German capital. Triple H has just revealed artwork for the big event, which points to a certain familiar face.
World Wrestling Entertainment decided to book its first Deutschland PLE after successful 2024 international events in Australia, France, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Scotland. SummerSlam was held in Cleveland but featured Gunther capturing the World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest amid The Judgment Day's implosion. Now, the Imperium leader is preparing to face one of his biggest opponents ever: Randy Orton.
Triple H is very familiar with The Viper. Orton and WWE's Chief Content Officer shared the ring more than 250 times from 2002 - 2019, including as members of Evolution. Despite The Game's direct knowledge of Orton's abilities, he seemingly endorsed Gunther on X today in revealing the Bash in Berlin promotional poster.
"Prestige, personified. Three weeks from tomorrow, World Heavyweight Champion @Gunther_AUT leads the way to Germany for its first major @WWE Premium Live Event," Triple H wrote with the graphic below.
Adam Pearce later announced a new stipulation for Orton vs. Gunther at Bash in Berlin: Orton will officially join RAW if he wins the championship, while Gunther would be sent to SmackDown. As of this writing, Gunther is on the red brand, while Orton is a member of the blue brand.
WWE Bash in Berlin rumored matches
Roman Reigns is expected to return to the ring at the upcoming Bash in Berlin PLE. Reigns returned at SummerSlam to take out Solo Sikoa in his first appearance since WrestleMania XL.
The Original Tribal Chief is now set to wrestle his younger cousin. The first-ever Reigns vs. Sikoa singles match is rumored to happen soon while the two Bloodline factions are going at it.
The next PLE after Bash in Berlin is the return of Bad Blood, scheduled for Saturday, October 5, in Atlanta, GA. The speculation is that The Bloodline will lock up in Hell in a Cell action that night.
