Triple H's "control" played a major role in 35-year-old star's WWE return
Triple H has been leading WWE into a new and more productive direction over the past year or so. A 35-year-old star recently opened up about her relationship with Hunter.
Michin (aka Mia Yim) has been getting a lot more screen time in recent months. The former member of Retribution initially saw her stocks fall after the faction disbanded and its members were left directionless.
The 35-year-old star recently faced WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax in a violent Street Fight in the main event of the go-home SmackDown before Bash in Berlin. Michin put on a good show before she was squashed by Jax inside a trash can for the win.
Previously, Michin was released by WWE in November 2021. However, Triple H's creative team re-signed her in November 2022. During a recent interview with Alistair McGeorge for The Metro, she spoke about the reason she decided to come back to the Stamford-based promotion and her relationship with Hunter.
"Hunter, Triple H, in NXT he felt like a protective father figure. It was like, 'Oh, well, I know how Hunter has treated us at NXT', and seeing all my friends come back and knowing that he has more control, I feel comfortable and I can fully trust him to not fumble [me]," said Michin.
She further revealed that Triple H has a great way of explaining things and the process behind it. It ensures that there’s no reason to doubt what he has to say.
"It may take a month, it may take three months, but it always happens how he explains it. So I have never had a reason to doubt his word. I know that if any direction or idea has come about and is presented to me that it could literally start next week, it could start next month, or could start next year, but I know that at least it’s gonna happen." Michin still has a way to go before she can win her first title in WWE. The company has held her back for some time, but Triple H could give her a top title run in the future.
Triple H was praised for his role in CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's rivalry by a WWE Hall of Famer
WWE has created many top storylines over the past year. Bully Ray believes that the rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre recently had a brilliant moment.
The WWE Hall of Famer spoke about how the angle gave fans a chance to write the next chapter in any superstars’ rivalry. He praised Triple H for his incredible work.
"One of the things that I love about the bracelet being created by a fan is that you have now put it out there that any fan could possibly start a major angle, a major story, a major dispute, a major conflict within the WWE. It's genius stuff ... Who's going to be the next fan to create something for a wrestler that's going to create some kind of controversy?" said Bully Ray.
Fans will hope to see the product get better and better as time goes by. It’s great to see many top stars get big storylines outside of championship rivalries following Triple H's rise.
