Triple H's plan for Omos the reason behind his current state in WWE

Triple H has ushered in the new era of WWE with a bang. However, one superstar who is yet to find a spot on the card today is Omos. In a recent interview, the former manager of the WWE Superstar, MVP, spoke about the reason why the seven-foot-tall star isn't on weekly television.

The Nigerian Giant took the WWE Universe by storm when he made his gigantic debut a few years ago. Since then, he has won the RAW Tag Team Championship with AJ Styles. One of the highlights of the 30-year-old star was his WrestleMania 39 match against Brock Lesnar.

MVP appeared on K & S WrestleFest's virtual signing. On the show, the former member of The Hurt Business addressed his time managing the faction and Omos. He stated that he was asked to move from managing Bobby Lashley to the seven-foot-three monster. However, Triple H didn't want him to be a part of weekly television.

"Triple H was adamant that he didn’t want him to be another Big Show. He didn’t want him on TV every week. He wanted him to be an attraction. He just wanted to break him out periodically to be an attraction." [H/T Post Wrestling]

Was Omos fired during Triple H's era of WWE?

The former RAW Tag Team Champion hasn't been seen in action on WWE TV since the WrestleMania edition of SmackDown where he competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The Nigerian Giant came up short in the match, that was won by Bronson Reed.

Recently, rumors suggesting Omos' ejection from the company were doing the rounds. The 416-pounder decided to take matters into his own hands and seemingly addressed those members of the WWE Universe who were convinced that he was released.

Triple H has been very restricted in portraying Omos as a dominant giant in WWE. The Nigerian native is currently a free agent in WWE and can be used across all brands in the promotion.
