Triple H sends heartfelt message of thanks following historic WWE show
Triple H shared a heartfelt message of thanks following a historic WWE show over the weekend. The promotion is set for RAW tonight at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Saturday Night Main Event took place on December 14, and it was a successful show. Several legends appeared during the event, and four title matches took place as well. Ahead of RAW tonight, Triple H took to social media to thank the legends for appearing at SNME and credited them for their work in the past.
"#SNME was a chance to look back at some of the best before we launch @wwe into the future. Thank you to Tito, Koko, Hammer, Jimmy, and of course, Jesse Ventura for paving the way," he wrote.
Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, Owens brutally attacked The American Nightmare following the match and hit him with a Package Piledriver. Triple H and KO then had an altercation on the entrance ramp following the attack.
Former WWE manager praises Triple H as a booker
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently praised Triple H and noted that he had to rebuild everything from scratch.
Speaking on an edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show earlier this year, Mantell noted that Roman Reigns was the only star with heat on him when The Game took over creative responsibility. The veteran claimed the company had done a "magnificent job" getting fans invested in the product under The King of Kings' leadership.
"I mean, he had to build everything from scratch. Nobody had any heat on them except Roman. And if you said somebody's name, like Roman and so-and-so [the outcome was predictable]. They have done a magnificent job making these matches jump off the page at you, and that's the beauty about pro wrestling," Mantell said.
Chelsea Green made history at the show over the weekend and became the first Women's United States Champion by defeating Mia YIm. The next Saturday Night's Main Event is scheduled to take place on January 25, 2025.
