Triple H sends a message to John Cena after sudden retirement announcement at Money in the Bank
John Cena shocked the world at tonight's Money in the Bank premium live event as he announced his retirement from WWE. The 16-time world champion cut an emotional promo after showing up in Toronto.
After Trish Stratus brought him out, Cena said he was retiring from the ring. The legendary star confirmed he would be gone following WrestleMania 41, as the fans at Money in the Bank gave him a massive ovation. The heartfelt moments continued when John Cena returned backstage.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared a hug with his former rival before posting a clip of it on his official X handle. The Game even sent a message to Cena, calling him the greatest of all time:
"The Greatest of All Time. @JohnCena #MITB," tweeted Triple H.

It remains to be seen how Triple H books John Cena's retirement tour. All we know so far is that the Hollywood star will return on the first episode of RAW on Netflix, kicking off his final run, with WrestleMania 41 being the end.
