Triple H sends message to Terence Crawford after WWE SmackDown appearance
Triple H sent out a message to Terence Crawford after his special appearance on tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown. Crawford showed up to confront the tag team duo of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory in a segment on the blue brand.
Terence Crawford has had tensions boiling with A-Town Down Under after he helped Cody Rhodes fend for himself against a 2-on-1 beatdown from the heel duo. The undefeated pound-for-pound fighter handed Rhodes a steel chair which made the save for the WWE Undisputed Champion last week.
Crawford came to SmackDown in Omaha to stand his ground regarding his actions last week as he stood across the ring. Grayson Waller told the professional boxer to apologize to both of them for getting in their way and trash-talking him until he nominated his partner, Austin Theory to knock him out. However, the opposite would occur as Theory took a step closer to Terence Crawford and got his lights punched out.
Triple H sent out a message appreciating Terence Crawford for coming down to WWE SmackDown ahead of his anticipated boxing match against Israil Madrimov on August 3, in Los Angeles.
"Big shout out to @terencecrawford for bringing some extra world championship power to #SmackDown, ahead of his huge fight next weekend in L.A. Keep showing the world what you’re made of, champ," Triple H wrote.
Triple H is working on bringing WWE WrestleMania to London
WWE is getting closer to bringing the biggest show of the year to the United Kingdom. Many fans have been asking for WrestleMania to come to London, but talk picked up after John Cena spoke up about his desire to bring The Showcase of the Immortals to London at Money in the Bank last year.
Since then, there have been significant updates from behind the scenes of work being done to bring The Grandest Stage of Them All to London. A fair portion of this effort being made for the fans in the Square Mile is coming from the current Chief Content Officer, Triple H himself.
The King of Kings came down to the UK along with WWE CEO, Nick Khan, to have a meeting with London Mayor Sadiq Khan. They shared a glimpse of their meeting and teased developments coming along for their plans to bring WrestleMania to the UK. A report mentioned that while this meeting was quite productive, nothing has been set in stone as of yet.
WWE has a rich history with the UK, with many historic shows having taken place in the country, namely SummerSlam 1992, which featured the iconic main event match between the British Bulldog and Bret Hart for the Intercontinental Title. Triple H and Nick Khan now look to expand on this legacy as they plan to bring WrestleMania to the fans in London, UK.
