Triple H set for major fall out with top WWE official over one thing, believes veteran: "It's in The Rock's bloodline"
Triple H and The Rock have been two of the most talked-about names in the wrestling industry lately. With the recent historic developments in WWE and RAW moving to Netflix in January, a lot of changes have been expected in the programming. One change that the WWE Universe anticipated a lot was the change in the red brand's ratings.
However, during a recent Netflix media event, Nick Khan made an appearance, confirming that the ratings for the red brand won't be changed. Triple H also confirmed that RAW would continue to be a family-friendly show with a TV-PG rating. However, with the Road to WrestleMania on the horizon and The Final Boss' involvement expected, the WWE Universe might be surprised to see the company continue a family-friendly rating.
On a recent edition of the Behind the Turnbuckle podcast, Vince Russo addressed the announcement and made a massive claim about the relationship between Triple H and The Rock. The veteran stated that while the ratings have not changed, the 52-year-old will do everything that generates revenue, which in turn could be a reason for the difference between both men in the future. With The Final Boss at the top as one of the members of the Board, some massive differences might make a lot of headlines around the world.
“Everything they do is tied to The Rock's pocket. Everything they do determines Rock's money. And you know, man, we’ve seen it in the past—Rock is going to do what he thinks will bring in more money. See, that’s the difference here, coach. You know it because you’ve worked with both, and I’ve worked with both. Here’s the difference: Triple H loves the wrestling business. Triple H, I’ll go as far as to say, is a mark for the wrestling business. Now, make no bones about it—it’s in The Rock’s bloodline, Rock’s family was in it. Rock is also a movie star. Rock also owns dozens of other businesses, so he’s looking at this quite differently than Triple H is. That’s why I said, eventually, the difference of these philosophies is going to cause a separation at some point,” said Vince Russo. [From 9:35 - 10:44]
Will The Rock appear at WrestleMania 41?
The Final Boss' appearance at WrestleMania 41 has been a question for months now. With rumors of him being unavailable for the Grandest Stage of Them All, there has been quite a discussion over his future in the company lately.
While it is still unknown if The People's Champion will grace the squared circle at WrestleMania, he is advertised for RAW's premiere on Netflix. With a lot of uncertainty about his future plans ahead of the Road to WrestleMania, fans will have to wait and see what's in store in the future.
