Triple H stopping major WWE champion's push after proving he's not "it" is a must, says veteran

A wrestling veteran believes a current WWE champion does not deserve to be put over at all. He claimed that that wrestler had had his chance to prove he had the "it" factor, but he failed.

Sami Zayn captured the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania XL by defeating Gunther, ending the latter's historic 666-day title reign. He recently defended his title successfully against Bron Breakker at Money in the Bank. However, former two-time WWE Champion, Sid Vicious thinks these two booking decisions were a mistake made by Chief Content Officer, Triple H and his creative team.

In an interview with Attitude Era Podcast, the 63-year-old stated that he does not know Zayn. However, he claimed WWE Creative should not be putting the Canadian superstar over even if he was a hard worker.

"I watched a little bit of it, not a lot of it. But I've watched it over the years and I don't know any of these people, okay? But Sami Zayn, they shouldn't be putting him over at all. And I don't know the guy. I'm sure he's working hard," he said.

The wrestling legend stated that the Intercontinental Champion had his opportunity to prove he was "it," but he could not. Hence, the company should have given Breakker the win unless they thought the latter was doing something wrong.

"[...] I don't know, unless the business has changed, Sami Zayn has had his opportunity to prove he's either 'it' or not. You can't say you're 'it' when other people are putting the people out there. So, he's not 'it,' right? I would think if you got the new kid, give him a chance, you know what I mean? Unless the new kid is not doing right," he added. [0:27 - 1:16]

Bron Breakker broke character to praise his WWE rival

Despite his loss at Money in the Bank, Bron Breakker does not seem finished with Sami Zayn. He recently attacked the Intercontinental Champion on Monday Night RAW.

Nevertheless, Breakker broke character to praise his WWE rival in a recent interview with Chris Vannini on Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast. He disclosed that he enjoyed sharing the ring with Zayn.

"It's been great man. I've spent a heck of time and Sami [Zayn] is so good and such a great dude. It's been a pleasure of mine to be able to share the ring with him and you know a bucket list thing for me. Man, I'm just excited for the years to come," he said.

With their rivalry continuing, Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker would probably square off again. It would be interesting to see if the second-generation WWE Superstar could capture the Intercontinental Championship.
