Triple H took huge shot at massive WWE legend on RAW by using top star, says Rene Dupree: "That was like a f**k you"

Triple H has invited several WWE legends to the last episodes of RAW and SmackDown. However, wrestling veteran Rene Dupree believes The Game took a massive shot at one of these legends.

The person in question is none other than Bret Hart. The Hall of Famer appeared on RAW last Monday in his hometown of Calgary. He was confronted by the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, who took a massive shot at The Hitman, stating that his favorite wrestler was Goldberg. Hart has had legit heat with Goldberg since the latter kicked him in the head during a match, causing him a concussion, which eventually ended his career.

While addressing the segment on his Cafe de Rene podcast, Rene Dupree disclosed that he believes the shot taken at Hart was not from Gunther but from the office:

"I think that was probably a shot at Bret from the office. And now watching that and then they taped Hunter, like, beeline towards Bret, like, with a big smile on his face, maybe that was like a f**k you. You know what I mean? Because Bret that's one thing he brings up, the scr*wjob and he always brings up Goldberg kicking him in the head, right? And costing him millions and millions and millions of dollars. And Gunther didn't come up with it. Listen, I know WWE promos. All that sh*t is written out," he said.

The 40-year-old former World Tag Team Champion even suggested The Hitman might not have known that line was coming:

"So, him hitting him with that line, and who knows if Bret even knew that was coming. That could have been on the spot, rib. And then you see the footage of like Hunter coming to him as he's getting back from Gorilla like a big smile on his face, like we got you." [From 01:21:05 to 01:22:04]

What did Bret Hart say about meeting WWE CCO Triple H

Bret Hart has previously claimed that Triple H was overrated as a wrestler, stating that The Game has never had a great match. Nevertheless, Hart said that he had a certain amount of respect for the WWE CCO.

In a backstage interview posted by the company after RAW, The Hitman commented on meeting Triple H upon his comeback to the red brand in Calgary:

"There’s not that many from my generation that are around anymore, so running into Triple H is always a pleasure," he said. [H/T: WrestlingNews]
