Triple H will be surpassed by 46-year-old star; Disco Inferno draws comparisons between two of the most important names in WWE

Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno recently compared a popular 46-year-old WWE Superstar to the company's current Chief Content Officer, Triple H. The name in question is none other than CM Punk.

Triple H and CM Punk are two of the greatest names to ever step inside the squared circle in WWE. After winning everything in the Stamford-based promotion as an in-ring talent, The Game has now transitioned into a backstage role and is the CCO of the company. On the other hand, The Straight Edge Superstar is still going strong as a performer and has given fans one of the biggest storylines alongside Drew McIntyre this year.

During a recent edition of Keepin' It 100, a fan asked Konnan and Disco Inferno, who they thought had a better overall character between The King of Kings and The Best in the World. Konnan said that he believed Triple H had more classic matches and had a better character overall than CM Punk. However, the veteran also mentioned that he believed with Punk's current run, he could surpass The Game's legacy.

Disco Inferno then added that The Cerebral Assassin's character was very similar to The Straight Edge Superstar.

Inferno also mentioned that the only difference between them was their physique, which he believed held CM Punk back when compared to Triple H.

"Well, here's the only thing I would say. I think you'll probably agree with me. There is no holes in Triple H's game, right? I say the hole in Punk's game is his physique. So, Punk does have that little hole in his game which is his physique but he's got all the other tools that Triple H had. Everything except the physique. I actually think if you're comparing the two, that puts Triple H ahead. But the way they worked, their promos and everything, almost identical type characters. Just solid on the mic, solid in the ring and they know how to do episodic storytelling," Inferno said. [4:10 - 4:50]

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre could come face to face once again in WWE

Following CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's incredible performance in the Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood 2024, The Scottish Warrior went on a hiatus. However, he finally returned to WWE television on last week's episode of RAW.

Before the show ended, McIntyre came out of nowhere to take Sami Zayn out and many people believe the former World Heavyweight Champion might be behind Jey Uso's backstage attack as well. It is also speculated that Drew did this because the two stars agreed to team up with Roman Reigns at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

If these speculations are true, Drew McIntyre might also go after CM Punk because The Second City Saint was the fifth member of Reigns' OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

It remains to be seen if the Triple H-led creative team will book another feud between The Best in the World and The Scottish Warrior.
