Trish Stratus claims she's proud of current WWE champion
WWE legend Trish Stratus has praised a current champion in the company. The Hall of Famer appeared during WWE Money in the Bank over the weekend.
Trish Stratus served as the host of Money in the Bank this past Saturday night in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Sami Zayn successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker at the Premium Live Event. The veteran has also been trying his hand at stand-up comedy recently, and Stratus attended one of his "Sami Zayn & Friends" shows ahead of Money in the Bank.
She took to her Instagram story and noted that she was proud of Zayn, and you can check out the video by clicking here.
"This was SO MUCH fun!! Proud of you @samizayn," she wrote.
Bron Breakker is still targeting Sami Zayn on WWE RAW and leveled the Intercontinental Champion with a Spear this past Monday night.
WWE RAW star wants to finish her story with Trish Stratus
Zoey Stark has revealed that she wants the opportunity to battle Trish Stratus after she betrayed her last year.
Stark debuted as the veteran's protege at Night of Champions 2023 and helped Stratus defeat Becky Lynch. However, she betrayed Stratus after the latter lost to The Man in a Steel Cage match at Payback 2023.
Speaking on the Busted Open Holiday Party stream last year, the 30-year-old said she wants to work with Trish Stratus again so they can finish their storyline.
"I really wanna finish my story with Trish Stratus (in 2024). I really wanna do something with her. So that would be a lot of fun to figure out where it goes… That’s exactly what I wanna see so hopefully we can get that to happen," said Stark. [H/T: Post Wrestling]
Trish Stratus has not competed in a match since her loss to Becky Lynch at WWE Payback. Big Time Becks had a short reign as Women's World Champion earlier this year before losing the title to Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring. Only time will tell what the future holds for Stratus in the world of professional wrestling.
