Trish Stratus explains why she’s unable to remember controversial WWE PLE moment

Trish Stratus cemented her WWE legacy in her first run which spanned six years and five months and ended in retirement. She went on to make various appearances until returning in 2022 for a run that went just over a year until wrapping at Payback. Trish is now opening up on the unfortunate reason why she was unable to remember a controversial ringside moment with the WWE Universe.

Canada's Greatest Export was attacked by Damage CTRL in August 2022 and then saved by Lita and Becky Lynch. Stratus ended up turning heel and aligning with Zoey Stark. This led to the veteran's first-ever Steel Cage Match at Payback on September 2, 2023, where she was defeated by Lynch to end their feud. After the match, Stark turned on Stratus after she was reprimanded and slapped.

Stratus had a viral moment on her way to the cage that night in Pittsburgh. As a fan taunted her about how she was about to lose, the WWE Hall of Famer confronted the fan face-to-face and told him to "Shut the f**k up!" before heading into the ring. Speaking to Ring The Belle for a new interview, Trish claimed that after the match she had no recollection of the fan altercation due to a concussion suffered in the clash. She jokingly blamed the moment on Lita.

"That was Trish Status 'the heel,' I honestly must have had an out-of-body experience. I’m so PR and level-headed, I don’t even throw it on my socials. I’m like, 'F**k, it’s [Lita's] influence!' Because my bestie has such a foul mouth, I had to bring a piece of her to the ring. I remember hearing after the match like, 'Oh, that thing you did before the match went viral.' I was like, 'What thing?' First of all, I was concussed... what match? But really, I was so 'in the moment' that I did not remember that moment. I saw it back, I was like, 'Guys, I did that?' I really didn’t think I did that," Trish Stratus said. [H/T to WrestleZone]

Stratus last appeared as host for WWE Money in the Bank this past July in her hometown of Toronto. The 48-year-old recently landed her 111th magazine cover as she appeared on the November issue of Inside Fitness.
