Two major matches announced for WWE SmackDown next week after the end of an era

Two matches were announced for next week's episode of WWE SmackDown, which will air on a new network. This week's show was the last episode of the blue brand to air on FOX.

During the show, LA Knight cut a promo in the ring where he spoke about his two successful United States Title defenses. He was confronted by Carmelo Hayes, who wanted a shot at the title. They were interrupted by Andrade, who has been feuding with Melo for more than a month.

The two stars have beaten each other twice on SmackDown, and they both want a title shot. LA Knight dropped both their heads on the mat with the BFT. It was then announced that next week, Carmelo Hayes will face Andrade for the fifth time. The winner will have more wins against the other.

Also during the show, Kevin Owens took on A-Town Down Under in a triple threat match that essentially became a 2-on-1 handicap match. Even though the odds were stacked against him, KO still won. WWE announced that next week, the former Universal Champion will face Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a tag team match.

It's unknown who Kevin Owens' partner will be. Next week's SmackDown will air on USA Network, marking the end of the FOX era.
