Two top WWE stars replaced by Roman Reigns and a current champion
Roman Reigns was away from WWE programming for a long time following his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. However, the Original Tribal Chief became the top star in the company immediately after his return. Roman, along with LA Knight, has also replaced two top stars in the official SmackDown banner.
The Head of the Table made his much-awaited return at SummerSlam where he took out Solo Sikoa during his match against Cody Rhodes. LA Knight, on the other hand, also had his big moment at the premium live event as he defeated Logan Paul to win the United States Championship. Logan was not the only star to lose his title at The Biggest Party of The Summer as Bayley also lost the WWE Women's Championship to Nia Jax.
Following their losses, both Bayley and Logan Paul have been removed from the official SmackDown banner, with Roman Reigns and LA Knight replacing them.
Reigns has been embroiled in a feud with The Bloodline since his return. He suffered a beatdown on SmackDown this past Friday as Jacob Fatu took him out with a blindside attack.
WWE president Nick Khan is a huge fan of Roman Reigns' ongoing storyline
Roman Reigns is currently involved in one of the most interesting storylines of the current era. The Original Tribal Chief has operated on a different level during this time, cementing himself as one of the Greatest Of All Time.
WWE President Nick Khan is also impressed with Roman's work as he recently praised The Bloodline storyline, stating:
"It’s a gift that keeps on giving to the fans. You’ve seen with Triple H and creative, Roman, what everybody has done together. One thing leads to another and it keeps on living at a high level. We’re really proud of that."
Roman Reigns is currently without any ally in his ongoing feud against the new Bloodline. The numbers game got to him on SmackDown last week, as Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Solo Sikoa put him through an announce table.
However, the Original Tribal Chief could soon get his backup as there are speculations of him reuniting with The Usos and even Sami Zayn.
