Uncle Howdy's WWE return date seemingly revealed

WWE continues to hype Uncle Howdy's potential return with QR code teases and regular updates to the archived page dedicated to the character on the Stamford-based company's official website. A recent update has seemingly revealed the exact date of the highly-anticipated return.

Uncle Howdy is rumored to return to the wrestling promotion for the first time following Bray Wyatt's untimely passing last year. The former Wyatt Family leader's brother, Bo Dallas, is reportedly set to return as Uncle Howdy and lead a faction consisting of Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross.

A recent update on the archived Uncle Howdy page on WWE's official website leads to a cryptic message. If you read the first letter of each line, it reads, ''June XVII,'' potentially referring to June 17. Notably, the first RAW after the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event will occur on this date. Hence, it looks like the faction might make its presence felt on the RAW after the Scotland PLE.

Wrestling legend warns WWE against Uncle Howdy's return

Uncle Howdy's return is possibly one of the most anticipated events among fans. The wrestling promotion has also invested a lot of time and effort in hyping the character. However, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently revealed he was not a fan of the storyline.

On a recent episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the 74-year-old shared his honest take on the Uncle Howdy character. Mantell stated that it was just a homage to Bray Wyatt. He further warned the company, suggesting the gimmick might not work.

"I don't like it [Uncle Howdy gimmick]. What is it really? It's an homage to Bray [Wyatt]! That's what it is. Just because WWE is doing well now doesn't mean they'll make all the right decisions. This one may backfire in their face," said Dutch Mantell. [3:28 - 3:58]

Uncle Howdy will reportedly lead a group of superstars who have been absent from the Stamford-based company for some time now. It will be interesting to see when the mysterious faction finally appears on television.
