WWE Rumours: Possible plans for The Undertaker's return

He’s back! But why?

Recently, it was announced by the WWE that The Undertaker will be returning to commemorate the 900th episode of Smackdown. The Undertaker will make his in-ring return on the November 15th edition of Smackdown Live at Wilkes-Barre, PA.

However, The Undertaker’s role on the go-home show to Survivor Series is still unclear.

Will he be announcing his retirement? Will he be participating in a squash match on the 900th episode of Smackdown or even have a part at Survivor Series itself?

Survivor Series is the incidentally the same PPV where the ‘Deadman’ debuted almost 26 years ago. The WWE might as well give a random opponent to The Undertaker just to keep the tradition of him being on Survivor Series going.

Will he be announcing his participation the Royal Rumble match next year which is scheduled to take place in his home state of Texas? This one could very well blow the roof off the arena as it will not be expected by anyone and WWE do have a habit of surprising us every once in a while. Don’t they?

Will he be challenging John Cena for a match at Wrestlemania 33?

A match between Taker and Cena could serve as the perfect ending to the Phenom’s career. Taker could kick off Smackdown with a promo of him finally hanging up his boots but not before having one last match with someone that he hasn’t faced at Wrestlemania yet.

A match between Legends

He could then challenge John Cena for his final match.

There are a lot of other speculations going around as well, a lot of people have claimed that he is going to fight Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 33.

The reports have been suggesting that WWE officials consider Randy to be a safe in-ring worker and considering the condition of The Undertaker, they do not want him to get injured like Sting did. The fact that Randy Orton turned on Kane is being given as a possible reason for setting up a feud between him and Taker.

Last week on Smackdown, Kane stated that he did not trust anyone except his brother. The commentary team mentioned it again this week. Kane has been outnumbered on multiple occasions recently, which has led to him being at the receiving end of several beatdowns at the hands of The Wyatt Family and Randy Orton.

The plan could be to have Kane go face to face with Wyatt Family again. But this time Kane will call his backup and it will be none other than The Undertaker. Taker will save his brother from yet another beatdown at the hands of the new Wyatt family and the ‘Brothers of Destruction’ could stand tall as the credits play out.

The latest addition of Randy Orton to The Wyatt Family has made them stronger. However, the brothers are expected to go over them. The duo could clear the ring just like they did on 1000th episode of RAW.

The Undertaker vs Randy Orton could still happen at Wrestlemania but it seems too early for those speculations. As of now, this seems like the logical option to go with.
