Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes reveals how he ruined Judgment Day member's big moment

Cody Rhodes and The Judgment Day are no strangers to one another in WWE. The American Nightmare recently talked about how he ruined a massive match for one of the faction members.

Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. As one of the biggest faces in the company, Rhodes has been putting on some great segments of ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About’ on WWE’s YouTuber channel.

In a recent episode of the show, former self-proclaimed member of Judgment Day R-Truth joined Cody Rhodes. While discussing the faction, The American Nightmare spoke about how he once ruined JD McDonagh’s big moment at an Irish independent show.

The two WWE stars appeared at an OTT show in 2017 in Ireland. Rhodes wanted to go all out at the show and refused to listen to the referee’s request to cut his match short.

"There's a show in Ireland, independent, called OTT," Rhodes recalled. "I got a triple threat match. And in the middle of the triple threat match — not even in the middle, like near the beginning ... I've spent about 20 minutes goofing around in the crowd, indie-ing about, again, we're not under any time constraints. Apparently we were. This referee tells me we gotta wrap it up. Gotta go home on an indie show. Now, I don't get hot that often ... But I had to tell the guy, 'Hey man, we're gonna go home when we go home ... so we went on for another 10, 12 minutes."

What Rhodes did not realize was the fact that the last public transportation in the area left at 10:30 PM. This forced many in the crowd to leave before JD McDonagh’s OTT No Limits Championship match.

"So apparently, JD McDonagh, that was his big title match for the OTT [No Limits] Championship that night. And because I had gone to the lengths I'd gone, the public [transportation] leaves at 10:30 ... There was only about a quarter of them left. Everybody had to get on the trains and go wherever they're going there in Ireland. So they missed his big moment ... But yeah, I feel bad to this day," Cody Rhodes said. (H/T Fightful)

The rivalry between the two sides played out on television as Judgment Day and Cody Rhodes crossed paths a few times. JD would be looking to get some revenge from The American Nightmare down the line.

Cody Rhodes' guest was all praise for Judgment Day's 34-year-old WWE star

It’s no secret that JD McDonagh is an outclass talent in the ring. Trained by Finn Balor, JD has proven himself in NXT UK and NXT before moving to the main roster.

Cody Rhodes' guest R-Truth spoke about how WWE fans needed to invest a lot more in McDonagh. He noted that he was a great talent.

"There's so many we got. There's a lot of talent back there, man. I hate to say this, man. Like the group that I used to be in, The Judgment Day, you know what I'm saying? A lot of breakout stars. A lot of you haven't seen JD McDonagh, really, really get down. He can really go," Truth said.
