Unexpected surprise behind rumors suggesting The Rock could miss WrestleMania 41, believes ex-WWE employee
The Rock's status for WWE WrestleMania 41 is currently being speculated upon amid reports suggesting he might miss The Show of Shows. A former employee of the Stamford-based promotion recently predicted the origin of these rumors.
Earlier this year, The Final Boss disclosed that he and WWE were planning the biggest WrestleMania in the company's history at next year's extravaganza. However, recent reports claimed the 52-year-old legend might miss The Show of Shows due to his busy schedule. The Final Boss addressed these rumors and quelled them. Former WWE employee, Tommy Carlucci recently discussed how these rumors might have originated.
Speaking on the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast with Jonathan Coachman, Carlucci, who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company made a surprising claim. He predicted that The Rock was the one who started these rumors in the first place.
"Okay, Coach. Here's my take on this whole thing. I think Rock is behind the whole thing. I think he had somebody put that out there, all those little dirtsheet guys caught on to it, somebody put, 'Oh, Rock's not gonna be at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, oh my God!' And then you have The Rock react to it and say, 'Oh, that's bullsh*t.' And now it's left in the air. And now all these people are gonna be waiting, what's Rock gonna do? What's he gonna do? I can't wait till he tweets. Is he gonna be on SmackDown? Is he gonna be on RAW? I think The Final Boss is behind the whole thing, Coach," he said. [2:10 - 2:48]

Jonathan Coachman believes The Rock won't miss WWE WrestleMania 41
On the same episode of Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, former WWE employee Jonathan Coachman claimed The Rock would never miss WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
The Coach pointed out that The Final Boss may not wrestle at the upcoming Show of Shows if he was not in shape by the time of the PLE. However, there was no chance he would not be at the show. Especially, since would it would be the final WrestleMania for his former rival John Cena.
"This is John Cena's last WrestleMania. This is Las Vegas. If he is making a movie anywhere in the country, he can be there in three hours or less. And he has houses in LA, Virginia, and Miami, or whatever. Do you think The Rock is gonna miss WrestleMania in Vegas? Are you kidding me right now? And John Cena, one of the top five of all time is gonna say goodbye to WrestleMania who The Rock wrestled twice at WrestleMania? Tommy, there's no way he's gonna miss WrestleMania," said Coachman. The Rock is also rumored to square off against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 41. The American Nightmare recently took a shot at him and the Original Tribal Chief. It would be interesting to see how things play out on The Grandest Stage of Them All next year.
