Unfortunate Goldberg update ahead of WWE Crown Jewel
There has been an unfortunate update regarding Goldberg's status for WWE Crown Jewel 2024. The Premium Live Event will air live today from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Hall of Famer made an appearance last month at Bad Blood, and many were hoping to see the legend once again at WWE Crown Jewel. However, the veteran shared a video on his Instagram this afternoon from Florida ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs versus Florida Gators college football game.
"What's up, everybody? We've got one hell of a sports betting weekend. I'm sitting here in the parking lot of the Georgia/ Florida game, about to go on TV here in a moment with the SEC Nation, Tim Tebow, we've got a huge announcement for you guys. Obviously, it is a huge sports betting weekend, NCAA games going on. You've got Ohio State against Penn State, and you've got Georgia versus Florida. Colorado is off this weekend, but cool information, you can bet on the WWE. Lay your money down and see who wins the belt tonight in Saudi Arabia," said Goldberg.
WWE Hall of Famer claims Goldberg should work in NXT ahead of rumored major match
Wrestling legend Teddy Long recently suggested that Goldberg knock off the rust in NXT ahead of a potential match against Gunther.
The 57-year-old confronted Gunther at WWE Bad Blood in Georgia before security broke it up. Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine show, Teddy Long claimed Goldberg should spend some time in NXT before a potential match against the World Heavyweight Champion. He noted that the legend could work with Shawn Michaels to get ready for a clash against The Ring General.
"If they want to do something with him and Gunther, then let him go to NXT. Let him stay down there two or three weeks, get the rust off of him, work with Shawn and some of those guys down there that know what they're doing. You know what I mean? And get it right."

Gunther is scheduled to battle Cody Rhodes in a Crown Jewel Championship match today at the Premium Live Event. It will be interesting to see who walks out of Saudi Arabia with the win.
