Unfortunate update on Rhea Ripley following WWE NXT

WWE made an unfortunate announcement regarding Rhea Ripley, who was left bloody in the parking lot following an attack from Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.

Earlier this month, Rhea Ripley failed to win the Women's World Championship, as Raquel Rodriguez returned to WWE and aligned with Liv Morgan. The 33-year-old star has been Mami's toughest opponent in the past, and Rodriguez returned to the Stamford-based company and turned heel in Atlanta.

Today, the company broke some unfortunate news about Ripley's status. The Australian star has suffered a fractured right orbital socket and will be out of action for an unknown period. What seemed like a planned segment might have turned uglier than expected. Here's the entire quote:

"DEVELOPING STORY: Following last night's brutal attack at the hands of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the NXT parking lot, Rhea Ripley has suffered a fractured right orbital socket and will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time."

Earlier this year, the 28-year-old WWE star suffered a shoulder injury, which led to her relinquishing the Women's World Championship in April. It'll be interesting to see when Mami returns to television after the gruesome attack from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
