Unless Brock Lesnar returns with injured star, WWE has made a big mistake, says veteran
Could it be time for Brock Lesnar to return to WWE finally, with an injured star? A veteran certainly thinks so.
Lesnar has not been seen in WWE since last year's SummerSlam. While he is away, there has been talk about his return to the ring at some point in the future, with even Triple H acknowledging that the company is open to talking to him. There has been controversy surrounding Lesnar since the details of the lawsuit against Vince McMahon emerged, but nothing has been confirmed. Vince Russo has now discussed a potential return for him with Big E.
Whether the star returns or not, industry veteran Vince Russo feels that only a return by Brock Lesnar with Big E could make sense given WWE's story. He thought that the New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turning on their injured friend of 10 years in that manner didn't make sense unless it was leading to a feud. He said that the star could not wrestle with his injury, and thus, the heel turn was being wasted.
On Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW, he argued that the story would make more sense if Big E could return with Lesnar by his side. However, since he could not wrestle, WWE had made a mistake.
"He can't wrestle. He can't go out and find a partner. If he can go out and find a partner, if he brings Brock Lesnar in as his partner, then okay! But the dude can't wrestle," the veteran said. (30:11 - 30:27)
While Big E commented about potentially being cleared to return to the ring in the future, nothing has been confirmed. It would be interesting to see what happens should the star team up with Lesnar.
