Update on Brock Lesnar's match at Night of Champions after he injured Cody Rhodes by apparently breaking his arm on RAW
Cody Rhodes didn't have the best night this week on WWE RAW. Before the show could even start, he was assaulted by Brock Lesnar backstage.
After a second assault during the show, his hand was damaged, but it was not sure how badly he was hurt. Now, there's an update about his coming match against Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions.
The show started with a video showing Brock Lesnar attacking Cody Rhodes backstage. He threw the star into the gate and slammed the star's hand into the gate with a bin, looking like he hurt it badly. During the show, Lesnar said that Cody Rhodes would not be able to compete at Night of Champions, and he was issuing an open challenge to anyone.
He was interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who came out with his arm in a sling. That didn't stop him from being assaulted by Lesnar anyway.
The star put him in the Kimura Lock and snapped his arm, with it looking like his arm was broken. After that, Rhodes was furious and didn't let anyone check on his hand, chasing away medical personnel time and again.
Despite the injury, WWE was still advertising the match on RAW after the assault. They said that, at the moment, the match is still on, with Cody Rhodes set to face Lesnar. There may be further updates heading into Night of Champions.
