WWE News: Update on Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella's WWE future

The couple have both stepped away from in-ring action

Two days ago, we reported that Daniel Bryan is intentionally getting involved in feuds on Smackdown Live despite being General Manager because WWE feels he can help get stars over and further their character development.

The prime example of this is his feud right now with The Miz, which started on Talking Smack when The Miz cut arguably the greatest promo of his career:

Daniel Bryan has been involved in a minor feud with Baron Corbin as well.

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge had stated four years ago that the reason he didn’t want to return in a non-wrestling role was because he thought that even if he got involved in a feud or storyline, there would be no physical payoff because there was fear of his body undergoing severe damage.

While that is likely to have been the case with Bryan as well, it should be noted that when Edge said this, he was no longer under contract with WWE. Bryan, on the other hand, is contractually tied with WWE till 2018.

Wrestlingnewsworld.com reported that Bryan’s stock is rising as the Smackdown Live General Manager and his connection to the fanbase is one of the reasons that the WWE feel he that can help get stars such as The Miz, Baron Corbin, Alexa Bliss etc. over with the fans.

Bryan’s wife Brie Bella has changed her "retirement" into more of a hiatus, because she has mentioned multiple times over the past few months that when she has her baby and gets back to ring shape, she will return to WWE.

She first said it on the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts show. You can hear it from the 6:50 mark in the video below:

Brie Bella, when she returns, will be returning to a completely different division than the one she left at Wrestlemania 32. The time Brie left was the exact period of transition from the Divas division to the Women’s division, as the women’s revolution kicked off.

Do you think Brie would be better suited for Raw or Smackdown Live? Voice your comments below.
