Update on potential feud between CM Punk and Roman Reigns (Exclusive)

CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns is a dream match for many fans within the WWE Universe. Both superstars have only wrestled each other in singles competition once, and that match happened a decade ago. A feud between the two men was teased when Punk joined Reigns' crew on the road to Survivor Series: WarGames.

Speaking on a recent edition of Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes provided an update on whether WWE wants to do CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns before, during, or after WrestleMania. The wrestling insider said WWE was sticking to Punk vs. Rollins, but that doesn't mean a feud with Reigns wasn't on the table.

"I know the numbers from Survivor Series, the social numbers, really opened some people's eyes between Reigns and Punk. They were in the millions and millions of views. So, I know it's on the table. I don't think they're ready to pivot the plans to make that match happen at WrestleMania." [From 20:03 onwards]

He continued:

"I wouldn't hold my breath on it although it's certainly a WrestleMania match. And if they decided to do, I'm not sure if people will be too mad at it. But I just don't know if it'll happen yet." [From 20:21 onwards]

Elsewhere on the podcast, Bill Apter shared his prediction for CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins. As for Roman Reigns, the former Undisputed Champion will collide with Solo Sikoa for the fate of The Bloodline on January 6. Fans will have to wait to see how these two matches turn out.
