Update on Roman Reigns' status for WWE Elimination Chamber - Reports
A recent report has provided information on Roman Reigns' status for the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber event in Perth, Australia.
The Tribal Chief is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight in a Fatal Four-Way match at The Royal Rumble later this month. This stipulation resulted from Nick Aldis punishing Reigns for interfering in the triple threat match last week on SmackDown.
The next stop on The Road to WrestleMania after the Rumble is Elimination Chamber on February 24. Despite not being officially advertised for the premium live event in Australia, The Bloodline leader promoted the show, announcing the ticket sales for the event with the WWE Universe on social media.
This has led to speculations among fans questioning the champion's status for the PLE. Many fans believe that The Rock and Reigns would work a title match in Australia.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Roman Reigns is not even scheduled for the show. The report also noted that The Tribal Chief was never been advertised for Elimination Chamber 2024 and there are no plans for him for right now.
WWE veteran believes Nick Aldis should have interfered when Roman Reigns ruined last week's SmackDown main event
According to the former WWE personality Jim Cornette, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis should have gotten his hands dirty after The Bloodline leader disrupted last week's main event.
As mentioned earlier, Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso laid out Orton, Styles, and Knight during the #1 contenders triple-threat bout, while Aldis stood at ringside.
Speaking on an episode of the Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the WWE veteran asserted that instead of standing by the ringside, the SmackDown GM should have called up security to stop The Bloodline members from attacking the three superstars.
"To have him (Nick Aldis) stand out there as the authority figure of the program and the General Manager, the guy that's in charge of this TV show and wants to make money with it, and do absolutely nothing while this gang of thugs (The Bloodline) completely destroy his three of his top name stars? Imagine if it was Dana White. There would be some chaos going on. I'm not saying don't let the heels get heat in front of him, I'm saying don't have him standing out there watching the whole thing and put up with it, and then tell Paul (Heyman) that he's (Roman Reigns) bought himself a four-way," Cornette said.
