Update on Roman Reigns' uncle Afa after he suffered two heart attacks

An update has been provided on Facebook after Roman Reigns' uncle and legendary Anoa'i family member Afa suffered two heart attacks.

Afa and Sika were a popular pro wrestling tag team back in the day. The two stars, known as The Wild Samoans, won the WWE Tag Team Championship on three occasions.

For those unaware, Afa is Roman Reigns' uncle. The veteran has been dealing with health complications for a while now. In late 2023, he underwent two exploratory heart procedures.

His family recently shared an update on his health on Facebook. He had two mild heart attacks over a few hours and is now doing okay. Check out the update below:

"Update on Afa the Wild Samoan, affectionately known as Pops: Afa was admitted to the hospital last night with pneumonia, but had a mild heart attack upon arrival. Today, he had a second small heart attack and was sent for a heart catheterization. He is doing ok, his spirits are high. He isn't out of the woods yet, but will be kept in the hospital for a day or two for observation and monitoring. He thanks everyone for their concern, continued love, and prayers."

Afa and Sika made a rare WWE appearance to celebrate Roman Reigns' big win

At Payback 2020, The Tribal Chief won the Universal title after defeating The Fiend and Braun Strowman.

He later kicked off a feud with Jey Uso, leading to a Hell in a Cell "I Quit" match at the namesake event.

After Reigns defeated Jey to retain his title belt, Afa and Sika celebrated his victory. Roman has been the biggest heel in WWE for the past four years.

As for Afa's health, we'll share more updates as and when they become available.
