Update on whether the 2025 WWE Draft is canceled (Exclusive)
The WWE Draft is an exciting time for everyone involved. It allows superstars to switch brands, allowing the Triple H-led creative team to explore new storylines. The draft is also an interesting way to call up NXT Superstars to the main roster and introduce them to a wider audience.
Generally, the WWE Draft takes place a few weeks after WrestleMania, as the culmination of The Show of Shows signals the start of a 'new season' for the global juggernaut. However, this hasn't been the case this year, and no announcement regarding the 2025 Draft has been made thus far.
Addressing the issue during the latest Q&A session with Bill Apter on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, WrestleVotes stated that the 2025 WWE Draft hasn't been canceled. The wrestling insider claimed that the company, creatively led by Triple H, plans on having the draft this year as well, but its date has yet to be decided.
"The only thing we know is that they want to do it. I know it's not groundbreaking, but we've heard conversations like they're looking to do one; just a date has not popped up yet. Nothing on the bait as far as NXT goes! Yeah, I'd imagine more and more NXT talent coming up by the week." [From 33:16 onwards]
The annual draft has witnessed some major moments over the years. It will be interesting to see what The Game has in store for fans in the potential 2025 WWE Draft.
