The announcement was shared on WWE's official Instagram handle and received a variety of reactions from fans. USA Network's official Instagram handle also reacted to the same and made it known that the network was planning to get Reigns on the red brand.

"Definitely threw a wrench in our plans," the USA Network wrote.

Roman Reigns seemingly won't be appearing on WWE TV anytime soon

The former Undisputed WWE Champion is currently on hiatus. He lost the prestigious belt to Cody Rhodes on Night 2 of WrestleMania XL and hasn't been seen on WWE TV ever since.

In the above-mentioned post, The Bloodline's Wiseman Paul Heyman mentioned that The Tribal Chief did not want to hog the number-one Draft pick spotlight because he won't be returning to television in the immediate future.

"Let me clarify that for you. These are not rumors regarding your Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Ladies and Gentlemen, your Tribal Chief has voluntarily withdrawn from eligibility for the WWE Draft. This is not a negative, this is a positive. Who built SmackDown since the pandemic? Roman Reigns. Who is the biggest star in the entire industry? Why would he hog the Number One draft pick spotlight when he is not returning in the immediate future? Read into my words, Kayla. That is not what a 'Real' Tribal Chief would do."

Reigns has firmly established himself as one of the greatest heels of all time. He held the Universal Title for four long years and was the Undisputed WWE Champion for two years. He is bound to receive a massive pop when he eventually returns to WWE television.
