USA Network shares an unfortunate update about Kevin Owens after WWE SmackDown goes off the air

Kevin Owens was not in a happy mood at all during this week's episode of SmackDown. After the show, USA Network shared an update on the WWE star.

The former Universal Champion and Cody Rhodes have been friends for a long time. KO has had The American Nightmare's back on many occasions during the feud with The Bloodline. The two stars have even teamed up to face other stars such as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

Cody rewarded Owens with an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Bash in Berlin, and even though the latter felt like he didn't deserve the opportunity, the bout still happened and Rhodes retained the title.

Last week, something unexpected happened. Cody Rhodes agreed to join forces with Roman Reigns, his archnemesis, to team up against The Bloodline at Bad Blood. WWE aired a vignette on SmackDown this week to promote the match. Owens was not happy with it at all. He even contemplated attacking The American Nightmare with a steel chair in the main event, but the two stars embraced instead.

After the show ended, USA Network shared a close-up photo of Kevin Owens from the segment and wrote that he was not okay.

Kevin Owens clearly was not happy that his friend Cody would be teaming up with their former rival instead of him. It'll be interesting to see how this story unfolds over the next couple of weeks before the tag match at WWE Bad Blood.
