Veteran rules out WWE Crown Jewel match result, says even Goldberg's interference may not matter (Exclusive)

WWE Crown Jewel is just around the corner, and fans are understandably excited about the first winner of the Crown Jewel Championship. Speaking on the topic, a veteran has made a major prediction.

Goldberg recently made an appearance in the Stamford-based promotion at Bad Blood. As expected, this sparked discussions about what his future plans were. Considering he has teased a feud with Gunther, many expect him to somehow take his next step against the Ring General, potentially at Crown Jewel.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling TIme Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter predicted that even if Goldberg interferes, it would not lead to a disqualification in Gunther's match against Cody Rhodes. Since titles do not change hands by DQ, the match for the Crown Jewel Title needs to have a decisive winner.

"There's not gonna be a disqualification. This is the first year they're doing this. There will be a decisive winner, even if somebody like Goldberg or Kevin Owens on the other side decides to interfere." [2:23 onwards]

The veteran does not think the WWE legend's potential interference will be in vain

While the match itself will have a decisive winner according to Bill Apter, he does think that Da Man being in the mix will cost Gunther.

Speaking on the same episode of The Wrestling TIme Machine, the veteran journalist stated:

"Gunther insulted Goldberg in front of his family. So I think what's gonna happen at Crown Jewel is Gunther against Cody and Gunther is gonna get speared somehow by Goldberg and that's gonna cost him the match. That's what I think is gonna happen." [1:33 onwards]

Only time will tell what Goldberg's plans are for his WWE future.
