Veteran says he did not like Undertaker's WWE Hall of Fame speech (Exclusive)
The Undertaker's induction was one of the highlights of the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. However, a veteran has recently stated that he did not like the Deadman's speech at the event.
The Undertaker is considered to be one of the most consistent acts in the history of pro wrestling. His gimmick as The Deadman made him a classic figure in WWE, cementing him as one of the all-time greats. However, he has not been presenting himself with his best-known gimmick since his retirement, including his Hall of Fame speech. However, veteran journalist Bill Apter was not a fan of the speech.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, Bill Apter stated that he did not like the speech due to The Undertaker breaking character.
"I didn't really like his [The Undertaker's] Hall of Fame speech. You know why I didn't like it? Because the people, the kids that still believe, that took all the imagination out of who this guy is. There are still kids, there are still kids that wait at the bus stop in the morning and talk about it all like it's still genuinely happening. And it's just when they watched that, I got a lot of friends with their kids going like, 'Why did the Undertaker do that?'" [7:56 onwards]
The Undertaker has recently expressed the wish to have one last WWE match. It remains to be seen if he will be back in action someday.
