[VIDEO] Major name helps Randy Orton up to his feet after SmackDown goes off the air
Randy Orton found himself completely decimated at the hands of the new Bloodline - something that has been an occurrence for him ever since the feud started post-WrestleMania 40. After getting taken out this week, a major name helped him to his feet.
This week on SmackDown, Randy Orton sat with Cody Rhodes backstage and assured him of his alliance and support in the battle against the new Bloodline. Orton even stated that once the story with The Bloodline is over, Cody will find himself being the target for every man in the locker room. Despite a moment of teasing going after it himself, Orton told him that he would be there for Cody then as well.
This week, after Randy Orton was sent through the announcer's table by Jacob Fatu, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga, Cody Rhodes helped him to his feet after the show went off the air.
While the attack was happening on SmackDown, Cody screamed "Take me" - wanting to sacrifice himself instead. Solo would then hit the Spike on Cody anyway while he was tangled in the ropes.
The show ended with more than two minutes to spare - asserting the dominance of The Bloodline.
Where Orton fits into all of this going forward will be interesting to see.
