"Vince disliked me so much" - Ex-WWE Champion hopeful to enter the Hall of Famer under Triple H's regime

A former WWE Champion believes he has a chance to enter the Hall of Fame following Vince McMahon's departure from the company. He claimed the former chairman disliked him.

The person in question is Sid Vicious (Sycho Sid). The 63-year-old had two brief stints in the Stamford-based company between 1991 & 1992 and 1995 & 1997. Nevertheless, he had two WWE Championship runs. The wrestling legend also had a successful career in WCW, where he held the World Heavyweight Championship twice and the United States Heavyweight Championship once.

In a recent interview with the Attitude Era Podcast, Vicious addressed why he did not enter the WWE Hall of Fame and whether he thought he would become part of the prestigious club.

The 63-year-old claimed Vince McMahon hated him. Hence, with the latter out of the company, he believed the new management, led by Triple H, should take the step of inducting him into the Hall of Fame.

"You think that they would, you know, offer that. Again, you know, Vince disliked me so much, I think that's why they haven't offered that. But with Vince being gone now, you would think those people would say, 'Hey, this guy, we still got him on contract. He's still making us a little bit of money. It would help him if we did that. It would help them as well," Vicious said.

The former champion also claimed his potential return to enter the Hall of Fame could lead to him playing another role in the promotion, like becoming a part-time manager or helping current stars with their promo skills.

"You would think that they might want to do the whole, you know, everything they could to, you know, to promote something like that. So, that might be something fun to start into and then, you know, as you get back there, you might want to do something like a part-time deal manager or special, you know, I think I was pretty good at interviews. So, there's always a lot of people having a hard time with that. So, if I can teach them maybe I could help them do their interviews." [4:53 - 5:34]

The former WWE Champion has retired from in-ring competition

Sid Vicious last competed in the Stamford-based company in 2012 during a one-off appearance. Meanwhile, he had his final match five years later at a GNW event.

In his interview with the Attitude Era Podcast, the 63-year-old legend disclosed that he had no plans to return to in-ring action after seven years of absence due to his age and health issues.

"[Is there a chance we can expect a wrestling return?] No, I'm 63 years old. I had that fracture in 2000 and I've been going through that. Causes a lot of other problems like your other knee and stuff like that and I just couldn't do it. Even if, you know, they were to offer me say to come back and do some manager position, something like that, I just don't know, sort of I don't know if I could do it," Vicious added.

While Vicious was unwilling to wrestle again, he revealed that he wanted to become Brock Lesnar's manager, claiming he would be better than Paul Heyman. It would be interesting to see whether he returns to WWE in a non-wrestling capacity.
