Vince McMahon is "a gangster," proclaims WWE veteran after shocking recent reports (Exclusive)
Recent rumors about Vince McMahon have apparently surprised the WWE Universe, but a veteran seems more impressed by it than taken aback. He recently shared his thoughts about McMahon and his future.
A report has claimed that Vince McMahon was in the process of launching a new entertainment-based company, which has understandably led to a buzz in the pro-wrestling community. WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long, who has so far reserved his judgment regarding the allegations against McMahon, recently spoke on the matter.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine show hosted by Mac Davis, Teddy congratulated McMahon and stated that the latter was "a gangster" who lets nothing stop him. He also said the former Chairman of the Stamford-based company had a lot to prove after the recent controversies that have come to light.
"First, congratulations to him. You know he is a man that I would just consider as a gangster. You know what I mean, you ain't gonna stop him. And Vince has a lot of prove and he's gonna let people know that. So I am kinda like Bill and you guys."
Long added that Vince was innocent until he was proven guilty by a court of law. However, he did acknowledge that the verdict of the court would ultimately decide the former WWE CEO's future.
"He's not guilty yet of these charges so I think him maybe getting something started now, maybe rumors getting out right now talking about something and maybe by the time he goes to court or whatever, the outcome of whatever this is going to be, that will determine you know, his future. Bill Apter has also shared his thoughts about the former WWE CEO
Veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter seemingly also expected Vince McMahon to pull off some major moves.
On the same episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine show, Apter stated that he was not surprised by the recent rumors of him starting a new organization, considering McMahon was the kind of person who would never sit idle. He lauded the 79-year-old for being an entertainment mogul and also noted that he had a lot of high-profile contacts in the film and entertainment industry.
"He's an entrepreneur. I mean he, he can't sit still. He cannot sit still. 24/7 he was like this when he was with WWE and I had a feeling that he was gonna come up with something. Not to do with pro-wrestling, but he is an entertainment mogul. He really, I mean look at what he did, what he started. [...] He has got a lot of contacts in the movie business, in the entertainment business," said Apter. [2:39 onwards]
