Vince McMahon destroyed his own reputation with Netflix docuseries, claims ex-WWE employee (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about how Vince McMahon came off in the Netflix documentary. The series features six episodes documenting the rise and fall of arguably the greatest wrestling promoter of all time.

The Mr. McMahon docuseries aired earlier this week on Netflix. The show got everyone talking about the former WWE boss and his antics while he was at the helm of the company.

This week on BroDown with Vince Russo, the former writer claimed the ex-WWE Chairman compromised himself with his own words. Russo pointed out that it wasn't the producers or editors who made him look bad, rather it was Vince McMahon himself. Russo suggested McMahon wanted to buy the docuseries before it aired because he was worried about how it would portray him.

"Bro, Vince buried himself, man. Vince buried himself on that Netflix docu-drama. Vince incriminated himself, his own words. Not the producers of the show, not the directors of the show, not the editing. Bro, Vince, Vince, his own words incriminated himself. That's why Vince wanted to buy this docuseries from Netflix before it even aired." [From 10:37 onwards]

Before the worldwide release on Netflix, Vince McMahon issued a statement on X/Twitter claiming that some facts on the show were distorted and taken out of context to make him look like a monster.

The veteran urged fans to have an objective view and understand that every story has two sides.
