Vince McMahon dismisses major claim about the Chris Benoit situation
WWE's former chairman Vince McMahon has recently dismissed major theories about late wrestling star Chris Benoit's demise. The news about Benoit committing the horrifying murders of his family members took the pro wrestling world by storm.
Chris Benoit was one of the most popular wrestlers in World Wrestling Entertainment, with some referring to him as one of the Greatest of All Time. However, in 2007, the news broke of Benoit's demise, and it was later revealed that the star had murdered his wife, Nancy, and son, Daniel, before committing suicide.
Several media houses speculated that the reason behind Chris committing these crimes was steroid abuse and multiple concussions.
During episode 6 of Vince McMahon's Netflix documentary, Mr. McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, dismissed the claims behind Chris Benoit's actions, saying there was no correlation to steroid abuse.
Vince also mentioned that he believed the only explanation behind Chris' actions was that the latter went crazy.
"There’s no correlation between taking steroids and what happened to Chris Benoit, human beings are flawed. Chris went nuts, it happens in every form of life, that’s the only thing I can take away from it," Vince said. [From 7:44 - 8:03]
