Vince McMahon finally opens up about lawsuit from Brock Lesnar's wife Sable
Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon finally commented on the lawsuit filed by Sable in 1999. Sable is a legend of the wrestling business and is married to Brock Lesnar in real life.
The documentary "Mr. McMahon" has been released on Netflix, and episode 4 discusses Sable's rise to fame in the company. However, she had a falling out with WWE and filed a $110 million lawsuit against the promotion. Sable alleged sexual harassment and an unsafe work environment in the lawsuit.
McMahon commented on the lawsuit and claimed he didn't know much about it. However, the 79-year-old noted that she came back to the company in 2003.
"I don’t know much about Sable in terms of the lawsuit…it’s kind of a blur but all I know is she came back to work," said Vince McMahon. [H/T: Wrestlingnews.co]
Brock Lesnar has not competed in a match since he lost to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. The Beast Incarnate's name was seemingly referenced in Janel Grant's lawsuit against McMahon.
Former WWE writer comments on the allegations against Vince McMahon
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on the allegations against Vince McMahon and noted that he hoped it wasn't as bad as it seemed.
Janel Grant has accused Mr. McMahon and former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis of sex trafficking her during her time as a WWE employee. McMahon resigned from the company earlier this year. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the legend disclosed that he hopes the allegations aren't as bad as they seem for the sake of McMahon's family.
"I mean, that's why I'm saying, bro, for his sake and his family's sake and his kids and his grandchildren, I really hope it's not as bad as it's made out to be for everybody involved. You know what I mean? Sometimes I feel like I should feel more bitter than I am, but I'm not." [7:48 – 8:13]
