Vince McMahon possibly ruined WWE star's shot at a Marvel movie due to his obsessive control, feels former star (Exclusive)
Former WWE star EC3 recently spoke about Vince McMahon's alleged obsessive need to control everything, especially during his last stint. McMahon's decisions may have cost Damian Priest a role in a Marvel movie, according to the 41-year-old.
Priest recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet about a role in a Marvel movie that was later taken away from him. He mentioned that it was not the studio's decision and seemingly had something to do with WWE.
This week on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 speculated that Vince McMahon probably pulled some strings backstage to prevent Priest from bagging the role. The former WWE star felt McMahon was obsessed with controlling his employees, and his decision-making cost Priest the part. He felt The Archer of Infamy would have been great in the movie.
"I feel like probably that was a Vince thing. They would have totally allowed that. I mean, a Marvel movie, a major franchise, a guy you're pushing in it—it's only a beneficial thing. So I think Vince McMahon just got too obsessed with holding on to his toys and his obsessive need for control." EC3 continued, "That's too bad because Damian, he's big, tall, he's dapper. He has an exotic voice. He would have a cool villain scene that gets thrown off the ledge or something." [From 2:00 onwards]
Priest now has bigger things on his plate as he will have to deal with Finn Balor. The two stars are set to collide in a highly personal match at Bad Blood 2024.
