WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley was thrown off the top of Hell in a Cell during his historic match against The Undertaker at King of the Ring 1998. Wrestling veteran Gerald Brisco has reflected on how Vince McMahon reacted when Foley pitched the idea.

Not only was Mankind thrown off the top of the Cell, but he was also chokeslammed through the roof and he crashed into the ring. This was one of the most memorable matches in the history of the company, and many people still consider it to be the best Hell in a Cell match of all time.

Speaking on What were they thinking? with JBL and Joe Lowry, WWE legend Gerald Brisco stated that when Mick Foley joined the wrestling juggernaut, he tried to change the notion that he didn't belong in the company. Brisco added that when he worked with Mick, the latter wanted to do a lot of stunts so he could get over.

When Gerald Brisco informed Vince McMahon of Foley's ideas, the former WWE Chairman was always taken aback. Vince told Mick to save them for the perfect moment, and it finally arrived at King of the Ring. According to Brisco, everyone backstage was jaw-dropped when Mick Foley leaped off the cage and went through the announce table. Over 20 years later, people still talk about that iconic match.
