WWE News: Vince McMahon, WWE do not acknowledge Trump's victory

The WWE and Vince Mcmahon has been extremely reserved about Donald Trump’s victory. The newly elected President of the United States is known in the wrestling world for hosting two major events of the company, i.e. the 4th and 5th editions of Wrestlemania at Trump Towers.

He was also inducted into the WWE hall of fame in 2013. Here’s a video of his speech during his induction:

If observations from the past are anything to go by, it is evident that WWE is quick to align themselves with anything that makes better news than pro-wrestling, like the Rock, Jesse Ventura and Jonathan Coachman, to name a few.

Hence, it was intriguing to see how the company apparently distanced itself from Trump, the man who just became the President-elect of the United States.

There has been absolutely no mention of Trump’s unparalleled victory in the US presidential elections on the WWE.com homepage, on the day the results were announced, i.e. Wednesday, nor on the day after.

Also, there has been no activity regarding Trump’s victory on the Twitter handles of WWE higher-ups like Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon or Shane McMahon, for that matter.

However, Linda McMahon was the sole member of the McMahon family to congratulate Trump on his win at the 45th Presidential Elections in the US. She took to Twitter to express her joy at the Republican’s win.

Unlike the McMahon family, many other WWE stars have expressed their opinions on Trump’s victory, whether positive or otherwise. Stars like Sasha Banks were highly disappointed with the results, whereas JBL was perceived to be more levelheaded about the entire affair.

On the other hand, former WWE Superstar Hulk Hogan was seen pouring out his heartfelt delight at the victory of the Republican nominee and the WWE hall of fame member.
