[WATCH] 6-time WWE champion training for in-ring return; hasn't competed in over five months

WWE is in the final months of 2024 and the company might have some big surprises in store for the fans. Recently, multi-time Tag Team Champion and former NXT Women's Champion Raquel Rodriguez was seen training for an in-ring return.

Earlier this year, Raquel Rodriguez went on a hiatus from WWE in February 2024. The former NXT Women's Champion was battling MCAS, aka Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and missed months of her career on the main roster. It was recently reported that she's gearing up for a return.

Today, Natalya shared a few videos on Instagram, in which Raquel Rodriguez was spotted training for an in-ring return. Several notable names were training alongside the veteran including the 5-time Women's Tag Team Champion (3x WWE and 2x NXT) in the Stamford-based promotion.

Last year, Raquel Rodriguez united with Liv Morgan and entered the tag team division on Friday Night SmackDown. The two eventually moved to Monday Night RAW and continued as a formidable team.

Later, they captured the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship twice in less than six months on Monday Night RAW. The duo defeated the team of Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus, and Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler for the gold.

However, they hit a roadblock when they went up against the Women's World Champion, Rhea Ripley. After losing the titles, Liv Morgan got injured at the hands of Mami and went on a hiatus.

Later, Big Mami Cool returned and spent months feuding with Rhea Ripley for the title. However, she failed to capture the title and eventually fell lower on the card before going on a hiatus in February 2024.
